Blast 16 is an emulator frontend for Raspberry Pi inspired on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, developed with LÖVE framework.
Features:
- Favourite games list.
- Localization.
- Select different console logos.
- Display game boxarts (boxarts must be copied manually to a certain directory and with the same rom filename + “.jpg”). If a game’s boxart isn’t found, a generic one based on the selected logo will be displayed instead.
- Background music written by Loop & Pixel.
- Exit to command line and shutdown Raspberry Pi.
There’s no release date yet, but hopefully in a few months it will be ready to download for anyone who wants to turn its Raspberry Pi into a Mega Drive Mini. In the meantime, I’ll post videos updates from time to time.
